Short answer
Carefully. New windows often still have builder labels, adhesive, paint specks, stucco, or mortar on them, and dragging that grit across the glass can scratch it. We inspect first, remove residue with the right technique, then clean normally β and quote any heavy residue before we start.
What's usually on new glass
Manufacturer and energy labels, plus their adhesive
Paint and primer overspray
Stucco, mortar, and concrete splatter
Fine construction dust packed into tracks and screens
Why it needs a careful approach
Hardened debris is abrasive. A quick wipe or the wrong scraper technique can drag it across the glass and leave scratches that never come out. That's why the first cleaning on a new home starts with a close look, and why we'll tell you up front if residue will take extra time.
After move-in
New neighborhoods stay dusty while construction continues nearby. Quarterly cleaning keeps up with it until the lots around you are finished β common in places like South Meridian and Star.
