Short answer
Most Boise and Treasure Valley homes look their best with a professional window cleaning twice a year β spring and fall. Homes near open fields, active construction, heavy sprinkler overspray, or the foothills usually do better quarterly.
Why twice a year is the baseline here
The valley's seasons do two different kinds of damage to glass. Winter leaves a grimy film from inversions, road dust, and wet weather; spring and summer bring pollen, cottonwood fluff, dust, and sprinkler spotting. A spring cleaning clears the winter film, and a fall cleaning clears the summer buildup before the cold sets in.
Twice a year is also what our Bi-Annual plan is built around β it takes $50 off each visit and schedules the cleanings for you.
When quarterly makes more sense
Some homes simply get dirty faster. Quarterly cleaning (our Quarterly plan takes up to $100 off each visit) is usually worth it if:
Your home backs onto farmland, open ground, or a lot under construction
Sprinklers or pressurized irrigation hit your windows regularly β spots that sit all summer can bake on
You're in the foothills or on a windy, exposed lot
You have large view windows or black frames that show every speck
You're near the Boise River, where cottonwood fluff and insects are heavy
Inside vs. outside
Exterior glass gets dirty much faster than interior glass. A common pattern is a full inside-and-out cleaning once a year with exterior-only cleanings in between. Exterior-only visits don't require anyone to be home.
